There are many commercial open source applications. Firefox is one of them, a well known and widely used web browser. The number one HTTP server, Apache, is also open source. And there are many more, you can probably find an open source project for almost any type of application. Wikipedia have several lists with open source applications.
Even if you are content with your current non-open source software, you should take some time to look into open source alternatives. Open source projects are based on contributions by people who use all kinds of software. You might have ideas or other ways to contribute. Perhaps your contribution can help the project become even better than your current non-open source software!
