OpenOffice.org Needs YOU!

If you are looking for a way to contribute to an open source project, without knowing how to program or create graphics, OpenOffice.org needs people for triage. Triage is sorting out bug reports and in that way aiding in improving the project.

Never heard of OpenOffice.org? Is the software any good? Where do I go to begin my contribution to the project? Keep on reading for more details.

What is OpenOffice.org?

OpenOffice.org is a free, Microsoft Office-compatible office suite which is becoming increasingly popular. Individuals, schools, governments, and companies are evaluating OpenOffice.org as an effective and inexpensive alternative to Microsoft Office.

I have used OpenOffice for a good while now. I am not a heavy user for Office applications like word processors and spreadsheets, but I use it for small things every now and then. I’d guess that OpenOffice give you everything you need in personal Office software.

Where do I go to help the project?

OpenOffice.org have their own wiki where they explain more in detail how you can contribute, and the steps you need to take to get started. Good luck with the fight against the bugs!
