Here is another big project you can participate in. You have probably heard about Wordpress. Wordpress is a content management system usually used for blogs. This site is one of many sites using Wordpress today. This is from Wordpress’ own introduction:

WordPress started in 2003 with a single bit of code to enhance the typography of everyday writing and with fewer users than you can count on your fingers and toes. Since then it has grown to be the largest self-hosted blogging tool in the world, used on hundreds of thousands of sites and seen by tens of millions of people every day.

OpenOffice.org Needs YOU!

If you are looking for a way to contribute to an open source project, without knowing how to program or create graphics, OpenOffice.org needs people for triage. Triage is sorting out bug reports and in that way aiding in improving the project.

Open Source contribution – How to get started

So you want to contribute to an Open Source project. But what can you do? Perhaps like me, you don’t have much programming experience, or know how to make fancy graphics. Is there a way to contribute?

I found a nice little HOWTO on getting started with Open Source contribution. I recommend you take a look at it, and you might find that you can get started allready today!
